In the meantime, tell more about what's installed. Folk have found some conflicts such as more than one antivirus, that old Spybot issue and then we talk about age and if the owner knows how to use the canned air.

I have been having problems with my computer for a few weeks. It seems anytime I play a video the sound keeps getting jumpy or skipping and it comes out as a robotic sound. I've also been having problems with Firefox. Seems anytime I try and load a webpage it freezes and will stop responding for a few seconds. Both the issues seem to have come on at the same time. I switched over to Google chrome and still had the same problem.
I've run Bit defender and no viruses. I tried updating the Audio driver and it says they are up to date. I have no updates from Microsoft needed to be installed. I have no idea what to do next and to make matters worse I am really bad with computers. I will try anything at this point. Everything is still usable but incredibly frustrating to have to keep listening to that sound. Again, I'm really bad with computers so please talk to me as if you're talking to your grandparents about computers.
