Question

Robert, why doesn't the Reply button work?

Apr 2, 2016 11:48AM PDT

Robert, I tried to reply to your answer about my Firefox profile, but the reply button doesn't do anything. Two different browsers, same result. Yet with other threads the reply button works fine. Why won't it work in my thread? I don't see any indication that the thread got locked.
BTW, I looked for the profile folder to delete it, but it didn't seem to exist after I uninstalled the program. But obviously something got left behind, so I'll try again and look after I re-install the program, and I'll let you know what happened.

Ad blockers and script blockers. There was one instance it was a plug in from a security suite but here I don't see any details to point to this or that.

try disabling your adblocker addon and restart the browser to see if you can reply. That is what I have to do at times. for whatever reason cnet can be finicky at times.

Browser without an ad blcoker didn't work, either
Apr 2, 2016 1:06PM PDT

This reply button works, and I'm using the browser with the ad blocker. The other, rarely-used, browser has no ad blocker, but it didn't work either. And howcome it was only my thread that would not accept replies, while on every other thread I tested, the reply buttons worked fine?

I can share only this.

There was a version of AdBlock+ that did this on CNET Forums. Then Adblock updated and it worked again. I did nothing on my end.
