road runner lite

Jul 12, 2006 12:28PM PDT

had rr lite until last week. had used rr the regular at previous home and did notice slower speeds with rr lite but it is 1/2 the cost. went to dsl due to poor service with local cable company but have no complaints with rr lite (dsl is 2-3 times faster) and cost is about the same as rr lite.

Road Runner light has a max download speed of 768Kb/sec. The commercials are talking about the standard RR, which has a download speed of 10mb/s, which is in fact, over 3 times faster than most DSL download speeds. I have Verizon DSL at the moment and the fastest I've ever gotten on a speed test is around 3.1mb/s and an average of 2.2-2.5mb/s. Therefore, RR lite is about 1/3 the speed of DSL like he said. The commercials are talking about a different level of service.
