Rio Nitrus broken after one year

Feb 4, 2005 1:31AM PST

My Rio Nitrus is only one year old, it takes the most recent firmware flash successfully. But it still goes back to the "upgrader" screen on booting. I called tech support, they said I am out of the warranty period by only a short while, so they will have to charge me $150 to replace the unit. Well that's what I paid for the unit a year ago. So Rio is not supporting me, I have found many posts on other forums saying that many people are having problems with their Nitrus product, flashes are not going well, tech support is bad, etc., etc..

So DO NOT BUY A RIO PRODUCT unless you want a dead unit in one year!!!
