Rio Carbon: Problems with player restarting

Jan 18, 2005 2:22AM PST

Any suggestions???
During playback, my player will reach a song and then suddenly restart itself! No idea why, it appears that its certain songs -- John Denver in particular -- so I suspect that its a faulty memory drive. Please help!

Something the player doesn't support.

Try a constant bit rate MP3 encoding at something tame like 128 kbps.

This happened to me. It has to do with certain mp3 files. They either are encoded a way the carbon doesn't like or are corrupt. If you delete these songs, the carbon plays just fine. Try re-encoding the "bad" mp3 file with say matchbox.

Just "bad" mp3 files. Not the the hard drive!
