but that's just me. XP is a much better option. I don't know what MS was thinking when they came out with ME.
That being said, I'd return the Carbon and get a new one and see if that works. If it doesn't, it is probably an ME issue.
I finally made a decision on which mp3 was best for me and now I can't get it to work with my computer.
I got the Rio Carbon and my computer will not recognize the device. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Rio and they finally decided it was a faulty player, but I don't think they knew what the deal was. We tried everything with drivers and software etc.
Has anyone else had or heard of this problem? I really want the carbon but I think if I exchange it for another I will have the same problem. I have used 2 RCA Lyra mp3 players, a Creative Zen Extra (which blew a hard drive... that's why I went with the Rio), and 2 cameras I connect with a usb and have never had a problem. The Rio was the first time, so I don't know what to think. Any advise out there???
Thanks
