CNET has a best router list. I like that and what's in the top 20 at Amazon. Links and then a nod.
For small office try the 100 to 199 buck models at https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Computers-Accessories-Computer-Routers/zgbs/pc/300189
Most have guest networks, other controls. Be sure your IT person installs the latest firmware before you lean on any model.
PICK A DUAL CORE DUAL BAND UNIT like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0192911RA
I work in a small office, less than 15 devices connected. Our current router is old and in need of replacement. We are connected to cable internet running at about 100 Mbps. The speed is sufficient for our needs. We use our own router because the cable company will not allow us to control the settings on their router.
The reason I'm posting this is to seek advice on selecting a new router. We would like to stay under $200 in price. A strong wireless signal would be a plus but not required as we also have two wireless access points in the building that are working fine. The router will provide DHCP but not DNS. VPN ability is also a plus but not required.
OK, ready, GO!!
