Right Click New

Hi People,

For some reason, on an extra internal hard drive on my computer when I right click my mouse and select New the only option is folder nothing else. I have re-booted the computer, no change. I have tried making a new folder and then in that folder right clicking the mouse, same thing. Any other drive I right click and select New, provides a long list of things. i.e. folder, shortcut, briefcase, word doc, excel spread sheet, all kinds of things.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? It is only on this hard drive.
My computer is a HP 2.0 GHz processor, 3 GIG RAM. Windows 7. The operating system is a SATA, this hard drive is plugged into the iede slot. I also have two external hard drives plugged into USB slots, those work fine.
Thanks in advance for your help and replies.
