Rewind and Fast forward

May 17, 2008 2:13PM PDT

Do mp3 players have a true "fast forward" and "rewind" function? My wife has one and it will only go to the previous, (or next) track. I want to listen to lectures, and want to be able to "go back" a minute or two if I'm 25 minutes into an hour lecture and miss something, without having to start all over. I'm looking at
Creative ZEN STONE PLUS Black 2GB MP3 Player

and see that it does have FF and Rewind on the control button (or whatever you call that thing), but wonder if that is to the next, or previous, tract. Thanks in advance. I have never had an mp3 player.

How others work may take reading their manuals.
