A camera can never do video as well as a dedicated video camera. And vice versa with stills. I like the fact that it has 35Mbps data rate in 720p capture but we'll see how that turns out. 7MP stills is really nice in fact for this type of a camera. But... The price is OUTSTANDINGLY NICE!!! I can't believe just $500 for a HD video camera and 7MP camera with 10x zoom. I'm sold if the video and stills turn out to be what they say they are. One can never know.... No reviews are present yet because it was just announced. Wait another month or so.
I'm just wondering if anybody out there knows about the Canon TX1 and it's performance as a camcorder. I was reading it's specs and it sounded impressive however if a product worked as well as the manufacturer claimed then we wouldn't need reviews. I'm looking to do a employee training video for my small business and was wondering if this would suffice?
