I was going to tell them myself, but thought you would like that pleasure. ![]()

In the Specifications column on the left, near the bottom is a link to "Report a problem". Try that.
And of course you are quite right. Stop stops and resets the media. Pause waits.

There doesn't seem to be a forum for this type of thing but there ought to be.
One of your reviewing staff made an embarrassing error in a review of a media playing software.

The problem is where it says "but when we clicked the Stop button and then the Play button to resume, rather than start where it left off, the DVD started from the beginning."
This would be a valid criticism if the reviewer had pressed the pause button. It's fairly standard for the stop button to close down all media playing.
I think its fairly significant given that its the only criticism in the review, and the reviewer concludes "Overall, there were just too many issues with the program to warrant a recommendation from us." even though they only name one issue.
Why bother reviewing the software if you aren't going to give it any kind of proper testing? MPC-HC isn't primarily a DVD player in the first place.
