Question

Return to old Gmail from forced new Gmail

Aug 15, 2013 7:54AM PDT

I have used Gmail since it was initially by invitation--the Jurassic age of computers. The other day,I was manhandled over to the new Gmail. Its very inconvenient. I HATE it cordially. Can I get the old Gmail configuration to return totally,say,the same as it was a year ago? If so tell me how,please,or point me to a good tutorial with line drawings or screen shots. Thanks!

Thanks Kees;
I was VERY upset because the old Gmail had what amounted to an excellent letter composing device, a sort of word processor. It got VERY buggy, sadly. However I have Open Office, so now I compose on OO, and the cut and paste into GM. Its not nearly as nice but it works, kinda. I have no idea why GM was modified. I sposethe Grand Panjandrums thought that it was unsecure or maybe Obama complained about it.
Best regards, Robb
BTW,over at Wilders there is a sort of Grand Master of All named Kees, who has written on Comodo Firewall and a number of other subjects. Is that you, per chance. if so, I am fascinated by your lore--keep it up!!

No, that's not me.

I'm using free Zonealarm firewall version 9. Still works to my satisfaction. Version 10 lost the traffic indicator.
I've not yet decided to try Comodo and some independent traffic indicator.

Return to old Gmail from forced new Gmail

I have the same problem with the damned new Yahoo mail. I hate it cordially too. It is terrible compared to the old, simple, clear Yahoo mail. I was happy that Gmail did not change its clothes, but I am shocked now to know that it did. I did not see this new Gmail till now, but mow I severely frustrated to know that one day I will. I wonder, what is the genius idea about changing something good to something worse? Why they make it compulsory? Is'nt it against democracy?
