I need to know how to retrieve data from a HD that orginally had a Home XP account protecting the info on the owner account. When I access the HD from another computer operating XP Pro, I can see the files and everything is still there, but I can't access them because they are password protected from my old account. I have the old password to my account, but I don't have the administrators password to the computer because it was set by the OEM. So I have "owner" privilege, but not Admin. I can, when accessing the HD from another computer, see the windows registry that is corrupt which keeps me from starting XP Home, but I can't find the files to replace them in order to make the system boot.
