Restoring old files to C drive

Mar 9, 2004 4:58AM PST

I had to Restore my C drive from CD rom disks. I thought all my files were backed up on the D drive???
If they are there can i unzip them and restore them to C drive. Or can i just restore computer to an eariler date. When I went to computer this morning I was unable to load windows. Could not start from DOS mode. So that is why I ended up restarting from Restore disks. Help

If you're talking about data files (Word documents, stuff like that), then you should be able to copy them to any folder you want on any drive you want. You can't do that with programs though. You'll need to reinstall those.

They should be on the D drive IF you saved/backed them up there. Are you sure you did that? Can you see the D drive at all?
