Restoring iphone to older backup file

HELP! I google synced my iphone and obviously said okay to something and now my iphone calendar is gone and was replaced with the google calendar. I need to restore my iphone calendar but I don't want it to restore to the last iTunes sync since that was after my google sync. How do I restore my iphone to an older back up file?

I am on Windows 7.
My iphone version is 3.1.3.
I found the backup files in my directory but don't know what to do with them or how to move them...there are quite a few. PLEASE PLEASE HELP. I HAVE BEEN READING FORUMS ALL DAY AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT.
