Restore question

by doomman328 / July 27, 2008 3:44 AM PDT

Hello, I have a Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop, and I would like to know because my PC did not come with the Restore/Drivers CD/DVD, and I was wondering If I ever had to reinstall Windows, Can I use a restore disk off of another PC (in this case a Dell Inspiron 1500 or somthing in that model range) With WIndows XP home edition (The desktop has Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) and after the reinstall, Can I grab the drivers for my components off the internet (I have Ethernet with a linksys gateway so can I still go online without any drivers?) But the thing is, I heard Dell offers a restore option hidden away on the user's Hard Drive as another Partition. Does my particular model have this restore option?

Thank you

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
