Came with a procedure to create the disks. And the answer is no, you rarely find restore CDs to work from other machines.
If you didn't feel like making them, read http://www.xtremepccentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24573
Hello, I have a Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop, and I would like to know because my PC did not come with the Restore/Drivers CD/DVD, and I was wondering If I ever had to reinstall Windows, Can I use a restore disk off of another PC (in this case a Dell Inspiron 1500 or somthing in that model range) With WIndows XP home edition (The desktop has Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) and after the reinstall, Can I grab the drivers for my components off the internet (I have Ethernet with a linksys gateway so can I still go online without any drivers?) But the thing is, I heard Dell offers a restore option hidden away on the user's Hard Drive as another Partition. Does my particular model have this restore option?
