Boot into "safe mode" if you can do that, then try removing WMP ver9.

What hardware?

I read your post and need a little clarification. This is the PC Hardware Forum and no hardware was noted.

Can you tell what hardware issue you need help with?

About WMP. Type WMP MINI FAQ into http://www.google.com to read more about WMP.

You need to un-install the program. You might have downloaded a corrupted file. Try re-installing your Windows operating system. As the error message reveals, the downloaded program had changed configurations in your system 32 file. After doing so, un-install the program using the Windows add/remove program process.
Are you using a video card? If so, check your video card's manual for compatibility issues.
Good-luck!
