Restart causes moniter to blink VGA not enabled at me

Mar 8, 2004 3:49AM PST

I'm running XP Pro and this issue is really annoying. I've got the most recent BIOS installed for my motherboard (Intel D845WN, though that's not terribly recent) and I don't have the problem if I do a full shutdown and a cold reboot.

Any Ideas?

This is a non-issue and just an annoyance, nothing more. Since there is nothing broken, there is nothing to fix.

The addition of the VGA signal lost message to monitors has its drawbacks...

Problem fixed!
Apr 4, 2006 10:38AM PDT

I recently had to update my graphics card from the Rage 128pro Xpert 2000pro 32m AGP that my computer originally came with.

I now have a NVidia GeForce 5500 FX 256mb and I no longer have this problem. I spent all this time thinking it was the monitor, but it was really the graphics card all along.

XP is weird! lol =)
