Responsive site or Mobile App?

May 3, 2018 5:36AM PDT

Which one is better a mobile site or an app? I own a Magento eCommerce store. Should I stick with a mobile site or make a mobile app for the same? In case of apps, is there any Magento app builder extension?

With your web site team. But as to your top question I do have a stance I'll share.

While I think some sites can get you to install an app for the most part people today will not install your app. Especially if it's for buying from your site. You would have invested time and money for an app few will install.

So the responsive site or even a mobile friendly site is the winner here.

Apps are not better.

The apps are better are usually comments from app makers.

Apps so far do little to nothing for your SEO.

I would suggest you to go an app rather than the responsive sites. As for mobile browsing, the app are a preferable option for the customers. Hiring a development services allows you to get a personalized mobile store. However, even the DIY app makers allows you to get custom changes as per requirement. One of my friends tried Magento mobile app builder plugin and got some custom changes implemented as per need. Even you can try it. The best part is there is free demo available for the same. You can try and be sure before you actually purchase it. Otherwise, it depends on the kind of business model you have.
