had no common sense, relied on Keynesian Economics, had no business experience, and allowed others with the same faults to do my thinking for me.
No matter how much money Government spends it will never be enough because government cannot create lasting jobs without civilian sector jobs to pay for the government jobs. As soon as the stimulus spending stops so do the expensive government jobs. No matter how many times Pelosi/Reid/Obama are asked to look down the road to what happens to their Fantasyland model when the stimulus stops they refuse to discuss this simple point.
They know it didn't work for Greece but seem to believe that it didn't work only because it was not they themselves in charge of Greece.
The 21.4% federal spending increase in two years ought to put to rest any debate about the nature of America's fiscal problem. The Pelosi Congress has used the recession as an excuse to send spending to record heights, and its economic policies have contributed to a lousy recovery. The solution is to stop the spending and change the policies.
Would anyone here consider a 21% increase in spending responsible for any individual on he brink of bankruptcy? Why is it OK for our government to do it to our country?
