response to 80 gig drive recognition posted 9/3/04

Your 80 gig drive is showing as a 40 gig? Are you restoring from a restore/recovery cd or are you installing a fresh copy of ME?

If running a recovery/restore disk the CD may be partitioning and formatting to preset specs. If this is the case it is likely the cause of the drive size issues.
