What I discover is most methods forget to do the tests under tight environmental controls. LCD respond time is better at 80F than 50F so an unscrupulous tester might run the test under ideal conditions.

Also the test is from full on to 50% off. Some testers messed up and used other standards.

Then we have the problem of too fast times. Let's say the LCD panel is refreshed at 60Hz. It would look dim or flicker if you had a too low response time.

That's proof that you don't want the lowest response times.
