WinsockFix or WinsockXPFIx, through Google depending if your operating system is Windows 9X/ME or Windows XP.
Besides Nav 2005 anti-virus, what steps do you take to protect yourself against hackers, (firewall), and spyware?
Threats come in all shapes and sizes now, and a "suite" of bodyguards is needed.

Hi All...
When surfing the Internet over the past 2-3 months I have been getting a "Resolving Host" message at the bottom of my computer monitor (in the component bar to be precise) on a fairly steady, yet random, basis. It happens 1-2 tines per week and only affects my computer in that I am unable to connect to anything on the Web.
The computer will process for a time before eventually timing out and telling me that it's unable to connect to the host. It does the same thing in both Netscape and Internet Explorer even if I close the program(s) and re-open them. The only thing I can do is re-boot the computer.
It was doing the same on my old computer (running Windows 2000 Professional) for about a month before I upgraded to a new Toshiba laptop with Windows XP about two months back. It's a cable modem/connection and a technician at my ISP (Comcast) said that it sounded like I have a virus and that they couldn't help before hustling me off the phone. However, I run NAV 2005 three times a week and keep my virus definitions and it never finds an infections, so I'm not sure that's the problem.
Although only periodic, it's very frustrating to have the computer lock up in the middle of a project and have to spend 5-7 minutes for it to reboot. Any input you might be able to provide on this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Tommy Wo
