Given just this I feel the admin has to get back to work. My only thought is in some cases the "server" permissions and ownership are not correct on those folders.
We have a remotely located network folder on a server that we typically access for data retrieving. We have been successfully accessing this server's folder for a number of years.
We remotely operate on wireless network (WIFI) using a router connected to a Comcast modem for access through a VPN.
We (6 individual client laptops) use windows 7 or windows 10 operating system with a wifi connection through the VPN to access the server's folder.
We are currently getting a "cannot find the path" error message when trying to access the server folders. The server site administrator says nothing has changed related to path or permissions to access the server's folders.
Our VPN is working fine and can access other server's folders with no problem. Its just this specific server folder we recently can't access. We can access the web with no problems.
Q1. what are the possible sources of this problem?
Q2. What could be some recommended remedies for this issue?
Any info provided will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
