I have the latest drivers of everything I have on this computer.
Other screens work fine at higher resolution, even my 12 year old novita screen can manage to squeeze out WAY higher resolutions than this syncmaster is doing right now. I have tested another T220 from a friend of mine, which also works fine.
I'm running this screen on Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+ in a computer with the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000mhz (9x 333)processor with 4 gigs of DDR2 Ram.
Looking around on these forums, I see there are alot of people with exactly the same issue's as me.
The searching for digital/analog signals out of nowhere. Been there, done that. Sent it back twice, it appears to have stopped now. But there's really no certain way of knowing, since my monitor now wont go to max resolution.
The highest it will go to now is 1280 x 1024. The resolution options screen doesnt even display I can go higher than that. I have tried creating custom resolutions.
My monitor says the optimal resolution would be 1680 x 1050, but when I create that resolution and let my Nvidia control center test it, it says the monitor cannot display it.
It also kind of flickers in the current setting (1280 x 1024).
Now, this monitor has been back for service twice already. I just got it back and now this. I'm kind of getting annoyed, can someone help me?
