You didn't tell if you set the 'extend my desktop' or such in the control panel for the display. Not to duplicate web content but I didn't read where you set the settings. I know that some haven't used Windows long but there are some places that we have to hit the books.
Here's the screens and links I'd want to check out -> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=vista+extended+desktop
My hard drive crashed over the past weekend. I sent it in through Best Buy to have a new hard drive replaced. When I booted it up the screen resolution was back to 1024 x 768 like it was when I got the computer new last Christmas. So I went to change the screen resolution back to 1280 x 1024 ( I have a Gateway Notebook with a 17" monitor) but it will no longer go that far. It used to show two different monitors available when I would go to change it (one bigger and a smaller one) and now it just shows the smaller one. I've tried all sorts of debugging and driver searches but I have no idea. Someone help me please.
