Resolution discrepancy blues

Feb 2, 2009 9:57PM PST

I'm running XP SP3 with a Samsung 243BW 24" monitor, native resolution 1920x1200. For months I ran at this resolution with no issues.

Recently, the actual resolution on the monitor switched to 1440x900 while the actual pixels coming from the video card were still 1920x1200.

The result is only a partial view of the screen that scrolls when I move the mouse off the edge, unusable.

So I've been using my big beautiful 24" monitor with huge fuzzy letters (1440x900 is not native and looks poor) longing for the days of being able to see full lines of code again without scrolling.

Any tips on what I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
