Resolution Changing on boot

by garyea / November 4, 2004 7:09 PM PST

I am running Win XP Pro with SP2 installed Athlon 1700+ 752mb ram. Anti virus,adaware,spybot,etc.etc. On boot the screen resolution has changed from 1024 x 768 to 600 x 400. It was so large that I could not get at any of the buttons or move the screen far enough up to apply the change and ok it. I had to boot into safe mode and do a system restore. This happened 3 times so far in about as many months, also every once in a while when I boot it brings up a logon screen asking for a password and has the user name already in there. I hit ok without entering a password and it boots. It will do this 2 maybe 3 times then the login screen will stop coming up for a while again untill the next time. Can anyone help? Thank You Gary Aguiar

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
