resizing 4 GBmicroSD card to 2GB

My 4GB micro SD card shows 3786 MB on diskpart command prompt in windows xp. what amount of memory should i have to subtract from it in order to convert it to 2GB? As my Samsung SGH-M620 phone don't recognize 4 GB. please help me.

Dead end. Here's why.

While I can resize a card smaller it will not make a SDHC (or microSDHC) compatible with a SD (or microSD) slot.

Get a 2GB.

2 GB is half of 4 GB. And 4 GB = 4096 MB, not 3786 MB.

I'd simply buy a 2GB card.

ya i know, but on diskpart cmd prompt, it is showing 3786MB as total memory available.
