Resetting of home page

Dec 17, 2003 2:18PM PST

Hi people

I have this annoying piece of junk software which I had inadvertently downloaded. It keeps resetting my homepage to some lowlife search engine whenever I power back up.

Is there some fix (Windows 98 OS) or some patch I can download which will kill this piece of junk?

Thanks

skiarabia, I suggest that you download, install, read the directions, then update and run Ad-aware and Spybot at the link below (Anti-Parasite Suite). Make sure that you update both programs prior to running them.

You may also want to download and run the CWShredder Tool at the same link.

Download and run the spyware removal program of your choosing, and it will likely remove the offending program and let you put your homepage back to whatever you want. There are also programs that will "lock" your homepage to whatever you want, but I myself see that as only treating the symptoms, not the disease.
