Reset the registry

How can I reset the registry in 2000/NT to a day when I wasn't having a problem? On my windows 98 I could pick a date that the system worked OK and reset to that point. Thanks so much

System Restore is not a feature of this OS. Instead its a Professional OS that we use tools like Event Viewer to find the issue.

Your post didn't note any issue or what antiparasite tools you use. Tell about your issue.

This is a friend of mine and he downloaded several programs to try out, and his browser is so slow now that it won't hardly open a web page, it will but it's very very slow. We uninstalled the programs he down loaded and ran spybot and adaware to clean up any thing he may have picked up but it still doesn't work. Thanks

That still leaves the Event Viewer and looking into a Hijackthis log.

You can also see if the Layered Service Provider has been hijacked. Look up LSPFIX on google.com too.
