Last week 2 resets and no WiFi. In both cases I had to plug in with Ethernet to go get the latest drivers and updates for the laptops from the machine maker's web pages.
Since you are in a bit of a stuck position you may have to use a working PC to go get those drivers.
I just finished resetting my computer to factory settings as if it were brand new from the box and I can't seem to get my wifi to work. The internet button on the keyboard that used to turn the wifi on and off is now off (orange light) and no matter how many times I push it it doesn't turn on. I've already been searching the Network & Internet tab and there's no wifi selection. I ran a troubleshoot to see if it would tell me what to do and all it says is plug in an Ethernet cable. I don't have internet at my house as I use the library's free wifi so I don't have access to an Ethernet cable. There are wifi hotspots near my home but they don't show up so can anyone tell me how to fix it? I'm using a HP with Windows 10 Home and I'm absolutely clueless about computers so any help is greatly appreciated.
