Rescuers fail to tempt lost whales back to sea

Scientists thought the noise from the ship?s generator may have dissuaded the whales from approaching, so they transferred the sound equipment to a smaller boat several hours later. Twice the whales followed the sound and headed out of the port, but both times they turned back.

Joe Cordaro, a biologist at the National Marine Fishery Service, explained that they had used a mixture of whale noises to try and tempt the whales to safety.


Whale noises have the same effect on me.
