Requesting Help Removing AOL from Registry

Sep 9, 2007 12:59AM PDT

Hello.
I have a delimma with my computer that I hope someone can help me with. I have a Toshiba Satellite with the following specifications;
Model NO: PSL33U-026018
S/N: X6057001W
OS: Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Intel Celeron M CPU
420 @ 1.6 GHz
448 MB RAM

My question is really simple, and I hope the fix is also.
I want to remove AOL from my registry on my computer.
Can anyone give me a simple procedure for this?
I understand that working with the registry section is something you have to be very careful with.
Thanks for any and all responses.
RJD.

you have removed AOL from the Add/Remove programs list and the C:\Program Files folder and it still persists, use the search feature from the start menu to find anything AOL related, and delete it. To delete AOL from the registry, enter regedit in the Run dialog box. Click Edit, Find, and enter AOL. Delete all it finds.
