Requesting assistance Win. 98

I would like to purchase a MP3 player for my teenage son for Xmas, the product I liked for him call for
system Requirements; windows 98, but than it went on to say it required windows 98se download device, what does this mean, I do know he has windows 98.
can someone help. Really appreciate it !

I think they mean to say that the program you use to download mp3-files into the mp3-player (and that comes with the mpe-player) requires at least Windows 98 SE, and not Windows 98.

But it would be better if you copied the whole text of system requirements to a post, and told what mp3-player (and if possible) what software it is about. In the context, it might be more easy to determine the meaning.
A reference to the web-site of the maker (most websites nowadays have specs of what they sell) could help us to answer your question also.

And please determine the version of Windows 98 your son has. Do start/run/msinfo/OK, and the first line on the right panel is the version. If it's
Microsoft Windows 98 4.10.2222 A
it's SE. If it's something else, post it and somebody will be able to tell you what it is.

Checked and he has windows 98, I'll do some more checking on the Mp3 player, thanks for your help.
