Requesting advice on replacing Sony HDR-SR7

I am looking to replace my recently stolen camcorder. I liked the Sony I owned and am looking for advice on a recommended replacement. In addition, if anyone has a knowledgable retailers phone number who would be willing to discuss the various options I would appreciate it.
