Question

Request-URI Too Long

Jul 10, 2011 6:00AM PDT

I keep getting this message at cnet and no other sites.
<b>
Request-URI Too Long
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity
limit for this server.

Additionally, a 404

Not Found
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.</b>

I really can't figure out why. They aren't that long. Eg

http://download.cnet.com/Blue-Eye-Macro/3000-2084_4-75206232.html

http://download.cnet.com/%7Bvalue=http://www.download.com/avast-free-antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html?tag=mncol;2

Every page is this same frustrating error. I use firefox.

Thanks.

Those links work here but maybe a link on those pages fail. If so, tell which link to test.

I use Firefox without issue but as there are addons and versions what I have may not match your machine.

Hope you figure it out as "works fine here."
