Question

Repub's health care plan

Jul 15, 2017 7:28PM PDT

If this plan is such a good thing how come members of congress and their staff are exempt?

If they were not exempt the plan might have a very different look.

Nothing new here

This isn't a party issue. They've all had their own health plan for some time and that's what's made them exempt from Obamacare and backward. They're also exempt from many other laws they've made including not adhering to the requirements "Do not Call" list. That's why we get those political robo-calls so often during election season.

Exactly

If congress makes a rule or a law that's good enough for the masses then it should apply to them also.

If it did congress might have a different view of the world.

As for 'do not call' it should be exactly that, 'do not call', no exclusions.

Here's something you won't see widely promoted

US life expectancy has decreased since the ACA implemented.

Of course there are many factors contributing but with all the shouting that "people will die" under Trump's plan, there certainly aren't encouraging statistics that the current plan has improved this picture. Of course under Trump wild horses will also die. We've been bombarded with so much nonsense from his opposition party and most of the major media outlets that we're all becoming more stupid about this than enlightened. Just my opinion.

It's tough to tell today what's fact and what's fiction or cherry picking the data to make a point.
Many folks have an opinion on things so they just ignore any info that does not agree with their opinion.
