reprograming cell phones to use AT&T sim cards

by a-b-x / March 20, 2006 9:43 AM PST

I have an unlocked cingular branded LG F9100 cell phone, using an AT&T sim card that I had from a previous phone. The voice part works fine but the data isn't working properly. Could my phone be reprogrammed so I could effectively use the AT&T sim card?

It sounds like what you're saying is that you have no Internet access, not that your SIM card is malfunctioning. What you need to do is make sure the phone's internal settings allow for access to Cingular's Media Net. So, first off, do you have a data plan? That being said, you may be able to get the settings from Cingular customer service.

No, LG cannot provide the settings. Have to get it from Cingular. You can get the information using the device tutorial on Cingular.com. Just choose a current LG handset and configure your phone the same way.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
