Question

Repost: Outlook4Gmail - Scand, LTD - Minsk, Belarus - Feedba

This is a repost. I feel I've done my due diligence by searching the forums on:

1) How to repost to a different forum - TURNED UP NADA
2) FAQ's on reposting - TURNED UP NADA

With that said, PLEASE DO NOT POST A REPLY UNLESS you are able to either, partially or in full, answer or if you are seeking clarification, DIRECTLY RELATED to the question(s). If you have nothing better to do than FLAME....THEN PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR CLICKING "SUBMIT POST" and prove to one and all, that you do possess some measure of intelligence by NOT clicking "SUBMIT POST" OR "ANSWER THIS". Instead, PLEASE:

1) Get a life!!! Really, PLEASE get a life!
2) DON'T WASTE MY TIME, YOUR TIME OR ANYONE ELSE'S TIME that seeks to use the forums as a resource. If we want comedy, there's a channel for that.

Please realize, RIGHT BELOW the SUBMIT button it states,
"Please Note:...Do not post...profanity, or personal attacks....". Those of you silly enough to do so anyway are in minority and could be permanently banned.

Personal comments about such as "well why would you want to....." or "well that's just stupid, if you would just do....that works as well", etc...., ARE NOT WELCOME here, nor GENERALLY in ANY FORUM!

Regards

All,
I've
searched on Google and I just emailed Sharon Vaknin, CNET Associate
Editor, to see if anyone has any info on this company/Outlook add-in. I
haven't found any reviews that seems to be legit but I'm looking for a
LEGIT fix to duplicate Outlook contacts.

http://scand.com/products/outlook4gmail/

Headquarters:
Scand Ltd
8-501 Fabritsiusa Str.,
220007 Minsk, Belarus
Tel./ Fax: +375 (17) 256-07-76

Outlook4Gmail
is supposed to be a contact sync tool, for those of us whose company
doesn't use Google Apps Sync or the Apple Cloud. Trying to eliminate
duplicates, that keep creeping into contacts from trying to sync:
iPad to Outlook
iPhone to Outlook
Evo 4G to Outlook
etc...

Of course, I'm sure there are a plenitude of LEGIT companies headquartered
in Belarus but I'm not willing to gamble with my 1700 or so contacts.
How to know LEGIT from hacker....that's the question!

Any and all USEFUL FEEDBACK will be greatly appreciated!

Don't you have a backup of your 1700 or so contacts? Then trying a program isn't gambling, because you can always restore the backup. Having no backup, that's what I call gambling.

As an alternative: copy your contacts to another Windows account and try any program there. If something goes wrong, it's just a copy and you can overwrite it with the original to try the next program.
