Here's something new. from your link

In a decline from the previous month, 1,501 Iraqi civilians lost their lives in sectarian and insurgent violence in April, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Tuesday. March saw 1,872 civilians killed, and 1,646 died in February. There were 2,334 Iraqi civilians wounded during April, compared with 2,708 the month before, the ministry said.

Can't recall seeing month to month numbers of civilians killed

Hi Rosalie

Are you under the impression that killing an Al Qaeda leader means that there is no longer an Al Qaeda leader?

The guy killed yesterday has probably already been replaced, and when that guy is killed, there will be someone to replace him too. How do you get from pointing that out to "cut and run?"

He may have been replaced...

maybe not. But there's a reason people further down the food chain are further down the food chain.

For all you know (I hope) there's a power struggle going on as a result of this. Killing one of these guys can't be bad.

There DOES seem to be a "glass is half full" attitiude being displayed here.
