Reply to message in Outlook 2002, all formatting marks show

Nov 23, 2005 9:59PM PST

I have a problem with my Outlook 2002, when I reply to any email I receive.

When I open the email, it looks fine, but as soon as I press the reply button, the text is suddenly filled with lots of wierd characters at the end of every line etc.

I assume these are line feeds, carriage returns etc being displayed. How can I stop this happening ?

Default email editor is Microsoft Word.

It won't.

Not a bug, just your choice of how to display it.

On some Words, it's a 'paragraph mark' on the toolbar.

But with so many versions of Word and possible custom settings, it's something you go and look for on the toolbar or view menus.
