Reply post glitch?

Nov 23, 2007 2:11AM PST

Sometimes when submit posting after writing my reply, I get an "empty reply form/page" instead of your post has been submitted. I know then, that the post is lost or gone to lalaland. Maybe, i take too long to write or hti the wong key(naaaa!) but I know it happens now and then.

Further, as another glitch the forum pages get real big(text size) and I know that's more of a d/l of the page(I allow more time) but this has been recent issue. I assume the HMTL just isn't complete to revert text size,. I do use UTF-8 or Western char. codes for the text viewing. Maybe, my dial-up is too slow, but I've noticed this more and more.

You may now roam the www -----Willy

If it happens to me..

If I lose a whole page of typed text when I hit submit, I hit the back button to see if it is still cached in my History.

If it is, I will copy the main body, then cancel that post submission, (or click to go back to the forum listing), see if my message was posted anyway, and if not, repost it.

I won't hit submit again immediately when I go back in case the forum robots accuse me of double posting! Happy

It's a pain, but useful when it happens.

I've already done that and some more. It gets lost and to "re-type" the original post is too much. Yes, I get lucky and able to repost with a "copied text" and paste it back-in, even so it repeats the failed post or empties again. SO, I quit and move on. I'm sure its not my end if anything I retry when the forums seems not so busy. grrrr -----Willy
