Your "specs" are light. Nowhere did I see that the dial-in users had "Access." So it's unclear if INTELLISYNC or such a product can be just dropped into place.
As to Oracle, while pricey, I've been making more work with MySQL which has it's own world of support web sites and many ways to connect to.
Best of luck,
Bob
The issue: I have got a db on Access 2000 that I want to make accessable to external users who use dial-in
connections. Therefore, proper synchronization of the db with indirect replication is a requirement. So far, I have got the following vague ideas:
* Buying the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Edition with Replication-Manager
* Transfering tables to Oracle & using Access as
Front-End application (Oracle server capacities are
available, but administration could become difficult due to lacking expertise concerning the use of Oracle)
* Using solutions of external providers. I'd be interested in ideas from anyone who has an overview or who has made experiences in this matter!!!!
I'd be extremly grateful for any kind of ideas or
references. Many thanks in advance ![]()

Ingo
