If I download a new webrowser (slimbrowser), should I uninstall IE? Should I just leave them both on?

IE is required for Windows Update. Just leave it on for WU, and use another for other browsing.

Thanks, Bob. So it will just be there, but I won't actively be using it. I didn't want to do anything crazy.

There are many alternatives to IE, like avant, opera, Netscape, etc, however microsoft programs all use some part of IE usually, so to save yourself a lot of hassle, it's best to leave it, and it shouldn't be in your way too much.
