Todays equivalent to the S5200 is the S2500HD
Here is a comparison of specifications:
I've been trying to find a good replacement for my Finepix S5200. I loved that camera, but the picture quality isn't what it used to be, or what I thought it used to be. I love the zoom, and found the camera easy to use, albeit noisy. Now the pictures are grainy, the color is off, and the white balance, which is something I need now, is not good. Reviews for the s1500 don't seem all that terrific, but the closest to the S5200. I wonder if the good reviews for the 5200 and mediocre reviews for the 1500 have more to do with when they were done than the cameras themselves? Does anyone have a suggestion for a novice who likes taking pictures?
