Replacing an Acer battery.... please help

by neath_lad / November 29, 2012 6:45 PM PST

I have a Acer aspire 5742z and the battery is faulty.

The original battery is a AS10D73 11.1V 4400MaH/48Wh. Looking to buy a replacement and found many alternatives (see links below) but the voltage is lower........ 10.8v. Is it safe to buy and use? It says the battery is compatible with my laptop model.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

About the question. No one here will tell you to go ahead. The liability is far too much for anyone to say yes.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
