Question

Replacement recommendation needed for video card

Jul 10, 2017 1:57PM PDT

Hi, all:

My video card -- GeForce(R) GTX 960 4GB GDDR5 (Maxwell) [+62] (Single Card) -- needs replacing, as it crapped out on me. Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement here, since it isn't carried new anywhere now?

Answer
The 1050 should be comparable or better.

Apologies, but I'm a bit green when it comes to video cards. I see lots of 1050's, and many by different brands. Mine was a Zotec. Does it matter which I go with -- MSI, Zotac, EVGA, etc?

To make an even easier response: Would this work as a replacement? EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 02G-P4-6157-KR, 2GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Whoops, my mistake -- meant to put the 4GB model there. That's what I had.

Currently the #1 seller on the amazon link.

It's the 1050, 4GB model. You can shop around, do more research but my short answer is the one in the #1 position if possible.
