Question

Replacement laptop battery

My Dell XPS m1330 needs a new battery. I checked with Dell - live chat -- and they tell me they don't make the computer any more and don't have any batteries for it and don't know if they ever will. They gave me a number to call their spare parts department to see if they have any. I'll do that, but if they don't have any, what should I do?

I've looked at Amazon and other places online and the reviews for third party batteries are not good. My laptop is 3-1/2 years old and I'm not at all ready to replace it - especially for a battery. So what do I do? Is there a trustworthy third party battery manufacturer/seller?

Dell XPS M1330 bios recovery

HI to everyone,

Pls help me on recovering my bios of Dell Xps M1330 the battery led is blinking Red only

i tried to copy bios file to usb M1530XX.HDR im using 1gb usb formated fat
i plug the usb and hold the end key then plug the power , im waiting for any changes on blinking red battery led but nothing happens even the fan is not turning on and the usb is not blinking.

i notice if i press the power the fan will work but still nothing happens.

pls post instruction if anyone successfully recovered a xps m1330.
