by ll481ll / June 16, 2009 12:49 AM PDT

I am wondering if anyone knows what other type of motherboard would be a good replacement for an Asus p4s8x-x mobo? I'm looking for something along the lines $110 with an 8xAGP vid card? other than that my processor runs intel Pentium 4. and thats pretty much all i know. Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why would you want to just change the board?
by ahtoi / June 16, 2009 6:09 AM PDT

Just curious. I see Fry's has a Biostar board with a e5200 cpu for $85 this week. 2G of DDR2 ram runs about $30. Just foods for thought.

How much ram do you have from the old MB ?

You may be much much better moving up than staying with the same CPU.
